In Bad Kissingen, guests traditionally receive their healing water from a fountain woman.

The bronze-coloured healing water pipes and the unique architecture make time stand still for a moment when entering the light-flooded foyer. There is a quiet and relaxed atmosphere in this place, where guests in Bad Kissingen can pay the necessary attention to their health and strengthen their immune system by drinking healing water. To ensure that every guest receives the right healing water, the fountain women like Sabine Krimmel advise and serve one of the Bad Kissinger healing waters according to their needs.

The fountain women of Bad Kissingen are part of a long tradition. Since the 1830s, they have been serving the unique mineral-rich healing water from the seven springs. The Wandelhalle with integrated fountain hall was opened in 1911, and since then the fountain women have been offering healing water, heated on request and without natural carbonic acid. The typical working day starts at 6:30 a.m. with preparations, and the bar is served daily from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and on weekdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. In addition to cleaning, the fountain women advise guests on the selection of the right healing water.

To become a fountain woman, you need to be interested in natural remedies. Sabine Krimmel, a fountain woman, emphasizes the joy of bringing guests closer to the special gift of nature. She has prior medical knowledge and emphasizes the importance of experience and exchange with healthcare professionals. The exchange between the fountain women makes it easier to advise the guests.

There are various offers to experience the world of Bad Kissingen’s healing springs, such as healing water tastings and guided tours. The digital healing water tour provides an overview of the healing waters. The healing water is also present in the city, from the pools of the KissSalis Thermal Baths to the brine inhalation at the graduation house.

In addition to the healing waters, Bad Kissingen also offers cultural highlights such as the annual Rakoczy Festival in summer. The historic buildings, Mediterranean parks and cultural offerings make Bad Kissingen a charming place. Sabine Krimmel recommends the Kurgarten and the Rose Garden as her favourite places.
