Yes, you read that right: the exclusive suitcase manufacturer and one of the world’s best-known jewellers have launched a joint luggage. Surprisingly, the cult cosmetic case is also included – but not in the way you might think. We’ll tell you everything you need to know about the cooperation.
The Rimowa x Tiffany & Co. collection consists of a total of three parts: a cabin wheeled suitcase, a small jewelry box and a large jewelry case. The design of the latter is based on the classic hard-shell cosmetic cases, which some of us still know as a popular travel accessory from past decades. Only now – and how could it be otherwise with a cooperation with Tiffany & Co. – especially for the storage of jewelry. All three pieces skilfully combine the iconic codes of both brands.
The wheeled suitcase and the jewelry box are decorated on the outside with the so-called “Rock Cut” design. To achieve this, a pattern of geometric shapes has been incorporated into Rimowa’s typical fluted aluminium surface, representing the cut of Tiffany & Co. diamonds. The small jewelry box, the interior of the jewelry case, and the handles and wheels of the case are finished in the iconic “Tiffany Blue” that contrasts with Rimowa’s silver-tone aluminum. Even if suitcases and jewellery don’t have much to do with each other at first glance, the Rimowa x Tiffany & Co. cooperation impressively proves how we can take our luggage to a new, glamorous level and at the same time store jewellery in a (stylish) safe way. With this, the two brands have certainly succeeded in one of the most glamorous collaborations.
